Why This Year's Lineup Has Fans Talking
The buzz really started building once LE SSERAFIM was confirmed for Night 2, followed by late additions Ciara, The Smashing Pumpkins, and surprise-performer Stella Lefty. Add BTS's return to a major US festival stage, and social timelines have been full of "who's headlining harder" debates. Between the genre whiplash and Disney+/Hulu carrying the livestream, this year's festival feels less like a radio-branded showcase and more like a full-blown pop culture event.
My Full iHeartRadio 2026 Artist Tier List
Quick overview before I get into the reasoning:
- S: BTS
- A: LE SSERAFIM, Cardi B, Benson Boone, Muse
- B: Lainey Wilson, Zara Larsson, Kenny Chesney, Snoop Dogg
- C: Weezer, Goo Goo Dolls, Major Lazer, Ciara
- D: The Smashing Pumpkins, Stella Lefty
S-Tier: The One I'm Not Missing
BTS. No contest for me, and I've been looking forward to this set since the lineup dropped. Their US festival appearances are rare enough that this alone is worth the ticket, but what really sold me is looking back at stages like their 2018 Melon Music Awards "IDOL" performance — the one that opened with traditional Korean percussion, a fan dance, and a masked Talchum dance before flowing into a full remix of "IDOL," blending heritage-inspired styling with sharp, modern choreography. BTS walked away from that show with seven awards that night, including Artist of the Year. If their iHeartRadio set brings even a fraction of that same layered production and costume storytelling, it's going to be the performance people are still talking about after the weekend ends.
A-Tier: Stacked and Stage-Ready
LE SSERAFIM brings the same razor-sharp visual precision the genre is known for, and their recent releases have real crossover momentum. Cardi B is one of the few rap headliners who can command an arena with just charisma and ad-libs. Benson Boone's vocal runs and his tendency to throw in a stage backflip make him unpredictable in the best way. Muse rounds this tier out — their lighting and production design alone are worth the drive.
B-Tier: Dependable Crowd-Pleasers
Lainey Wilson and Kenny Chesney are the country backbone of this festival, and both know how to work an arena crowd. Zara Larsson has pop hooks that translate well live. Snoop Dogg is a guaranteed good time, though at this point his sets lean more "victory lap" than "must-see spectacle."
C-Tier: Solid, Just Not My Priority
Weezer, Goo Goo Dolls, and Major Lazer are reliable nostalgia or party acts — fun in the room, forgettable the next day. Ciara's a talented performer, but her late-add slot means a shorter set, which knocks her down here for me.
D-Tier: Wildcards on This Bill
The Smashing Pumpkins feel like an odd genre fit for this crowd, and Stella Lefty's "special performance" slot is intriguing but still too unknown for me to rank higher — happy to be proven wrong live.
The Streaming Angle Is Kind of a Big Deal Too
One thing that's making this year different: with Disney+ and Hulu carrying the full livestream, this isn't just a Vegas-ticket event anymore — it's basically a global TV special. That's part of why the lineup feels so deliberately cross-genre; it needs to hold a living-room audience just as much as an arena crowd. It's also why so many fans are treating the artist order like a bracket to talk about online.
How I Actually Made This Tier List
After I sorted out my rankings in my head, I wanted something more shareable than a text post, so I used a free drag-and-drop tool called TierMakerPro to turn it into an actual graphic. There's a ready-made iHeartRadio Music Festival 2026 template with all the artists' photos preloaded — you just drag names into S/A/B/C/D, tweak the tier colors if you want, and export a PNG. No sign-up, no watermark hassle, took me maybe five minutes total on the festival lineup template.
Make Your Own Ranking Once the Weekend's Over
That's how I'm seeing it going in. Once both nights wrap and all the performances are actually in the books, it might be worth putting together your own ranking based on whichever set you thought delivered the best show — stage design, energy, vocals, whatever matters most to you. If you want to lay it out visually instead of just listing names, the same tier list maker I used works fine for that too. I'll probably update mine once I've seen how it all plays out.
How many artists are performing at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival? The confirmed lineup includes 15 artists across two nights: BTS, Benson Boone, Cardi B, Ciara, Goo Goo Dolls, Kenny Chesney, Lainey Wilson, LE SSERAFIM, Major Lazer, Muse, Snoop Dogg, Stella Lefty, The Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, and Zara Larsson.
Who's better live, BTS or LE SSERAFIM? Both groups are known for tight, high-production K-pop choreography, but BTS's scale and the rarity of their US festival appearances give them the edge for most fans — which is why they land in S-tier on my list while LE SSERAFIM sits solidly in A-tier.
Is TierMakerPro free to use for making a festival tier list? Yes — TierMakerPro is completely free, requires no account or sign-up, and lets you drag and drop artists into tiers, rename or recolor levels, upload your own images, and export the final result as a PNG.
Can I watch the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival if I'm not in Las Vegas? Yes, the festival streams live on Disney+ and Hulu, in addition to broadcasting across iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide.
