Which tier list category should I choose?

Choose the category that matches what you are ranking. How you score it does not change the category: an anime character ranked by power, writing, design, or personal preference still belongs under Anime and Manga.

    Use Anime and Manga for character power rankings, favorite casts, villains, heroes, story arcs, and other anime or manga debates.

  • Game characters, units, gear, and releases

    Use Classic Games for playable characters, bosses, units, weapons, game series, and new or nostalgic releases.

  • Movies, franchises, TV seasons, and TV characters

    Choose Movies for films, actors, directors, franchises, or movie characters. Choose TV Series for seasons, episodes, and television casts.

  • Teams, players, leagues, and tournaments

    Use Sports for football, basketball, hockey, motorsport, figure skating, World Cup teams, players, and tournament rankings.

Which category should I use for a character tier list?

Use Anime and Manga for anime or manga characters, Classic Games for game characters, Movies for film characters, and TV Series for television characters. Pick the category based on where the characters come from.

Use the Technology category for phones, AI tools, cars, appliances, and similar products. Use Lifestyle instead when the list is about places, services, shops, or everyday experiences.
